Oh, me of many hats!

In cub scouts, I have worn quite a few hats. Last year, at our Blue and Gold Banquet, I was even given a bunch of hats as a gag gift. I have now been given a new hat to wear. So, before I tell you the new one, let's review.
2012 - I was the primary presidency member of cubs so I was on the committee as the pack trainer.
2013 - I became the cub master.
2014 - I became the Wolf Den Leader
2015 - I am now the Committee Chair

I have to say that I am pretty excited. Hannah and I went to Wood Badge (learn all about that HERE) and came back ready to make the pack amazing. Well, we have a pretty good team of people going and the pack is flowing smoothly. The boys even love coming. YAY!! Now, the committee. Hannah and I just did everything the committee was supposed to do. Now, it's time to have a functioning committee, too. So, I'm working on that one now. haha! Wish me luck! This Committee Chair is going to make it happen! Woot! or.... er... bobwhite!!!

Make up -- what?

Yeah, so I don't like to wear make up. I often go completely make-up-less. ;) However, I am getting older and I'm seeing age spots and things in my face. I decided that maybe it was time to try make up again. The last foundation I bought was actually bought by my mom for my wedding. That was almost 13 years ago. I hated wearing it because I could feel it all day. I hated wearing lipstick for the same reason. The only things I'd wear was mascara and maybe eye liner. That was just for church or other things like that.
So, I have dived in and bought some make up! I bought it from Younique and the consultant I use is awesome. I explained why I don't like make up so she recommended I try Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation. It goes on like a cream and dries like a powder. I'll be honest... I do not feel it at all!!! :D
Then, we come to the lips. I don't even like chapstick. For some reason, having something on my lips makes my face feel oily. So, she recommended I try lip stain. Again, I absolutely love it. It goes on, dries, and I feel nothing. I can kiss my hubby and kids and nothing rubs off on them. I seriously love this stuff! I have two colors - Sassy and Sleek. My favorite is definitely Sleek. :)

Anyways, I'm just excited to have make up that I can't feel. Today, I even put it on just because. I mean, I can't feel it so it doesn't annoy me. I may as well wear it, then, right? :)

My consultant didn't ask me to post this - she doesn't even know I'm posting it. If you don't have a consultant then I completely recommend her. Here's her url:  https://www.youniqueproducts.com/MaryBell

Ponderize: Week 1

We, as a family, accepted the Ponderize challenge given by Elder Durrant. :) We made it through week 1. Our scripture was Alma 22:15,

"... What shall I do that I may have this eternal life of which thou has spoken? Yea, what shall I do that I may be born of God, having this wicked spirit rooted out of my breast, and receive his spirit, that I may be filled with joy, that I may not be cast off at the last day? Behold, said he, I will give up all that I possess, yea, I will forsake my kingdom, that I may receive this great joy."  -- Alma 22:15

I printed it out and put it on the refrigerator. The kids and I read it every morning. I didn't talk about it with them but told them to just think about it. At the end of the week, I had them tell me what they thought it meant. It really surprised me the insight they had on it. I was very proud of them. We have started a new scripture today. We'll see how it goes. :)

Wood Badge - Beading

Okay.... if you'd like to read all about my Wood Badge experience thus far then check out the following links:
Wood Badge Weekend 1
Wood Badge Weekend 2 (travel only)
Wood Badge Weekend 2 (the actual weekend)

We still weren't done after all that. While we were there we wrote up a ticket which consisted of 5 goals to help implement the things we learned at Wood Badge into our scouting position. Then we were given 18 months to complete these goals. Some were big, some were small. Anyways, Hannah and I completed them and we were recognized for completing Wood Badge last night. YAY!!!

These are all out of order so you'll just get them as they are. :)

Julie is explaining the meaning of the new neckerchiefs as the old ones are being switched around.

A day in the life of ME! :)

A friend posted on Facebook what a day looks like in her day, so I thought I'd post one about a day in my life. :)
I wake up at 6:30/7 and work out.
Then I take the dogs out and feed them breakfast.
